OZZMIXX – TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings with Ozzmixx (“we”, “us”, “our”). By completing a booking form and paying the booking fee, you (“the Client”, “you”) agree to the following.

Our goal is always simple: a smooth setup, a safe venue, and an awesome night.

1. The Client is responsible for:

1.1 Booking form, payments & communication

  • Completing the booking form fully and accurately.

  • Paying the required booking fee/deposit by bank transfer.

  • Including your surname and event date as the payment reference.

  • Ensuring we have received your booking form and that your contact details (especially email) are correct so invoices and confirmations reach you.

The remaining balance must be paid before the event begins.
If the balance is not paid on time, we reserve the right to end or not begin the performance, with no discount or refund.

Unless otherwise required by law, all booking fees and payments are non-refundable.

1.2 Music requests & information

  • Sending us your song lists, special requests or important event details in writing at least 14 days before the event.

  • We’ll do our best to source and play your requested music, but we cannot guarantee the availability of rare, obsolete, deleted, or hard-to-find tracks, whether requested in advance or on the night.

1.3 Access, setup & logistics

  • Providing venue access for up to 90 minutes before the start time for setup and 60 minutes after for pack-down.

  • Letting us know in advance about:

    • safe and adequate power supply,

    • loading access for equipment,

    • any stairs or lift involved,

    • any access restrictions or time limits.

  • Covering any parking fees when the venue does not provide suitable parking for our vehicle and equipment.

If a proper loading area is not available, alternative arrangements must be agreed at least 14 days before the event.

1.4 Safety, weather & venue conditions

  • Ensuring the venue complies with all relevant health and safety requirements.

  • Ensuring our equipment and cables are protected from direct sunlight, rain, spills, and other hazards.

If we reasonably believe the conditions are unsafe for our team, guests, or equipment, we reserve the right to pause or cancel the performance.
If the issue is due to venue or client conditions, no refund will be given.

For marquee or outdoor events, you must ensure:

  • the work area is dry, stable and sheltered, and

  • there are at least 2 x 13A power sockets within 5 metres of the setup area.

If bad weather is likely, you are responsible for organising a suitable backup plan.

1.5 Behaviour, damage & early finish

  • The conduct and behaviour of guests, venue staff, and any other persons on site.

  • Any damage to the venue or our equipment caused by you, your guests, or anyone under your control.

We reserve the right to end the event immediately if violence, aggressive behaviour, harassment, or other unsafe conduct occurs. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

1.6 Delays, interruptions & force majeure

If the event is delayed or cut short due to circumstances beyond our control (for example: venue issues, schedule changes, guest behaviour, access problems), no refunds will be issued, and we are not obligated to extend the agreed performance time.

If we encounter unforeseen circumstances outside our control (for example: fire, riot, accident, severe weather, acts of nature, or other major incidents) that delay our arrival or performance, we will contact you as soon as possible to advise you of the situation.

1.7 Licences & legal compliance

  • Making sure the venue holds all relevant licences and complies with local by-laws and regulations for music, noise and trading hours.

1.8 Extra hours (overtime)

  • You may request additional hours on the night, subject to:

    • our availability, and

    • venue approval.

Any extra time will be charged at Ozzmixx’s current overtime rate (as advised in your quote/booking).
Overtime must be:

  • agreed by Ozzmixx, and

  • approved by the venue/function manager,

and payment is required at the time of the request (or as otherwise agreed).

1.9 Refreshments

Our work often involves long and unsociable hours. Where possible, we kindly request that you provide non-alcoholic drinks and light refreshments for our team.

Please do not offer alcoholic drinks to Ozzmixx staff while we are working on the venue’s premises.

1.10 Media & promotion

Unless otherwise arranged in writing, you grant Ozzmixx permission to use non-intrusive photos or media taken at the event for promotional purposes (for example: social media, website, or marketing).
We will always aim to be respectful and avoid anything that feels overly personal or inappropriate.

2. The Venue is responsible for:

  • Providing enough space for the DJ setup, sound and lighting equipment, and (if applicable) dance floor, especially if you have other entertainers booked (e.g. singer, band, comedian).

  • Allowing our audio and lighting equipment to be assembled safely. If there is not sufficient safe floor space, Ozzmixx reserves the right to refuse or stop the performance.

  • Speaker placement is usually best when speakers are no more than around 10 metres either side of the DJ position, where practical.

  • Providing a suitable loading area or, if none exists, working with you and us to arrange alternatives at least 14 days before the event.

3. Ozzmixx is responsible for:

  • Providing experienced entertainers capable of playing music that suits your event, your guests and your brief.

  • Conducting ourselves in a professional, friendly manner throughout our time at the venue.

  • Responding to the Client’s reasonable requests and to venue management’s reasonable requests (such as volume adjustments or equipment positioning), as long as they are safe and practical.

  • Selecting equipment and lighting appropriate to your event, based on:

    • number of guests, and

    • size and layout of the venue.

We take care to maintain our equipment, but if equipment failure occurs beyond our control or a power outage happens:

  • we will do our best to troubleshoot and resume as quickly as possible, but

  • we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by these issues, and

  • no refunds or discounts will be given where the cause is outside our control (for example: venue power issues, external outages).

We are committed to:

  • arriving on time, and

  • making every reasonable effort to help your event be a total success.

4. Cancellations

  • Cancellations must be made in writing.

  • If you cancel within 30 days of the event, a cancellation fee of 100% of the outstanding balance applies.

  • If you cancel more than 30 days before the event, your pre-paid booking fee will be retained as the only penalty.

If the event is cancelled due to reasons entirely outside the Client’s control (for example: venue closure, natural disaster, government restrictions), then:

  • we will work with you to set a new date, where possible, or

  • if a new date cannot be agreed, the booking fee may be refunded in full at Ozzmixx’s reasonable discretion, having regard to applicable laws.

5. Agreement

This agreement becomes binding when you hire Ozzmixx for any services and confirm your booking (including paying the booking fee and/or signing the booking form).

By submitting your booking form and ticking that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions, you acknowledge that you:

  • have had the opportunity to read these Terms, and

  • agree to be bound by them.

We will assume you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions if you proceed with the booking and tick the relevant box.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit your rights under any applicable consumer laws.
